No kiosk — QR only
The simplest topology: no ticketing hardware to install. The customer scans a QR code with their phone, picks the service and gets the ticket on the phone.
How it works
- You create an online kiosk in the panel.
- You download its QR code as a PDF and print it or put it on the counter.
- The customer scans the QR → the kiosk opens on their phone, in the phone's language → they pick a service → they get the ticket and can follow it and receive alerts on the phone.
- When they're called, it also shows on the waiting-room display (if there is one).
Installation steps
1. Create the online kiosk
Kiosks → New Kiosk
- Name: e.g. "QR Reception".
- Online kiosk (no hardware): on.
- SMS alert: optional, to ask for a phone and text the customer when called. See SMS alerts.
- Printer: none.
- Available services: tick the ones the customer can choose and, for each one, whether it gives walk-in tickets, appointments or both.
2. Download the QR
In the Kiosks list, the kiosk shows "QR active" with two icons:
- Download QR PDF: a print-ready PDF with the code and the kiosk name.
- Copy kiosk link: the direct address (
https://yourturn.space/k/ID?t=…), in case you want to put it on a website or in a message.
If you renew the token (renew icon), the old QR stops working: print the new one.
3. (Optional) Waiting display
Even without a physical kiosk, it's useful to show called tickets on a TV in the room. See Display on shared PC.
Requirements
| Element | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Customer internet | Yes (mobile data or the venue's WiFi) |
| New hardware | None required |
| Print Server | No |
Limitations
- No paper ticket (the customer can download a PDF of their ticket from the phone).
- The customer needs a phone with a camera.
- With poor coverage in the waiting room, tracking on the phone may lag.
Tip: put the QR on a countertop stand near the entrance with clear text like "Scan to get your ticket".
