Kiosk with printer
The most common installation in pharmacies, notary offices and public offices. Besides the ticket on screen, the customer gets a paper ticket with their number, a QR code to follow it on their phone and, if you uploaded one, the company logo.

[Tablet / touch PC] ── internet ── [yourturn.space] ── internet ── [PC with Print Server] ── local network ── [Thermal printer]
The kiosk and the Print Server don't talk to each other directly: the kiosk creates the ticket in yourturn.space and the Print Server picks it up straight away and prints it. They can be on the same PC or on different ones.
Hardware requirements
| Component | Minimum spec |
|---|---|
| Kiosk | Android 10+ tablet or Windows 10+ PC with touch screen, with Chrome |
| Print Server PC | Windows 10/11 or macOS, with internet (can be the front-desk PC or the kiosk PC itself) |
| Thermal printer | ESC/POS with Ethernet or WiFi — see compatible printers |
| Network | The printer and the Print Server PC on the same local network |
Installation steps
1. Connect the printer to the network
Connect it by cable or WiFi, print its configuration sheet and note the IP. Reserve it in the router so it doesn't change. See Ethernet or WiFi.
2. Install and pair the Print Server
- Download the installer from the releases page and install it on the PC. On Windows it updates itself.
- When it opens, type the printer's IP and port (
9100) and click "Authorize with browser →". - In the browser, with an admin user, name the printer (e.g. "Reception printer") and click "Authorize printer".
The printer appears under Printers in the panel with "Server online". Full details in Pairing with the Print Server.
You don't need to create the printer in the panel first: the authorization creates it.
3. Paper settings and a test
- Panel → Printers → edit: paper width (58/80 mm), cut and margins.
- Print Server → Test print → the ticket with the real design.
4. Create the kiosk with the printer
Kiosks → New Kiosk
- Name and Location (e.g. "Reception", "Entrance hall").
- Kiosk language: the language it starts in. The customer can switch it on screen, and the kiosk goes back to this language after each ticket.
- Online kiosk (no hardware): off — this is a physical kiosk.
- SMS alert: optional, to ask for a phone and text the customer when called. See SMS alerts.
- Printer: the one from step 2.
- Available services: tick the services and, for each one, whether it gives walk-in tickets, appointments or both.
5. Open the kiosk on the tablet
- In the panel, Kiosks → the kiosk's copy icon ("Copy kiosk link").
- Open that link in Chrome on the tablet. It looks like
https://yourturn.space/?kiosk=ID&token=…: without the token the kiosk can't issue tickets. - Click the "Full screen" button (bottom-right corner).
- To keep the tablet locked to the kiosk: on Android, "Screen pinning" or a kiosk app; on Windows, Chrome in kiosk mode at startup (
chrome.exe --kiosk "KIOSK_LINK").
If you renew the kiosk token (Kiosks → renew icon), the old link stops working: copy it to the tablet again.
6. Test
Take a ticket at the kiosk: it should print and the ticket should appear in the panel's Queue.
